Paste an endpoint URL
HTTP and HTTPS describe web requests. WS and WSS describe WebSocket connections. A secure website should use encrypted endpoints where possible.
Independent software project / socket
Socket is a small developer toolkit for inspecting endpoint addresses before using them in an integration. Explore the scheme, host, port, path, and query of a URL in your browser.

A focused workflow
HTTP and HTTPS describe web requests. WS and WSS describe WebSocket connections. A secure website should use encrypted endpoints where possible.
A port selects a service on a host; a path selects a resource within that service. Default ports are 80 for HTTP/WS and 443 for HTTPS/WSS.
Keep tokens and passwords out of URLs you share. This inspector does not verify DNS, certificates, or server availability.
